New Delhi: It is no secret that Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is a die-hard cricket fan. And on Tuesday he took to Twitter to celebrate India’s thumping 75-run win over the Australians in the second Test at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Amitabh posted a photo of him dancing and posted: “T 2455 – INDIAAAAAAAAAAA !!! YOU ARE TRUE CHAMPIONS .. YOU GOT UP AFTER BEING KNOCKED DOWN AND KO’ed the Aussies !

Team India had come under a lot of criticism from various quarters after a humiliating 333-run loss in the first Test in Pune. But skipper Virat Kohli had promised fans that there wouldn’t be a repeat of such a poor show again. And he kept his word as the Indians came roaring back after the visitors held the edge on the first two days to win the second Test and level the series.

Amitabh himself has often taken to Twitter to share his views on Indian cricket and was also seen criticising an Indian commentator after the India versus Bangladesh game in the World T20 where the MS Dhoni and his boys had managed to win a last-ball thriller.

The superstar had requested the commentator to focus on the Indian team rather than praising the opposition.

Amitabh’s tweet read: “T 2184 – With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time.”

To this Dhoni had replied: “Nothing to add”.
